3- How did you react to what you read in chapters 6-12?
What surprised you in these chapters? What went through your mind at the end of chapter 12?

We reacted in a really surprised way because he was able to survive all this days (chapters) with only the hatchet. This chapters were really interesting becuase he had really good and bad things but he had most of bad things, but he survived and he is more healthy and strong now. Something that caught our attention was the way he used the hatchet to make fire. The scene of him really happy and excited because he was going to make a bow and an arrow was good but then he heard an engine and went to the camp really fast to make the fire but was too late, the airplane turned abruptly. He feel sad, disappointed and depressed.

4-What did you learn about Brian from his dreams and memories that you have not learned in other parts of the story?

Dream by dream and memory by memory he was giving us clues about his life and secrets outside the forest and his personal life, and we had discovered (not all of it) the clue of how to make the fire with his dad and Terry, the secret of his father and mother of the divorce, what actually happen. We think that in future chapters we are going to know more about the secret and more about his personal life.

Good responses, team, but they are on the short side. Remember that your group responses to each question must be at least 150 words. You gave some good examples from the story to answer each question. Still, I would like to know more specifically what when through your minds at the end of chapter 12. How did you feel when you read that a rescue plane actually came to search for Brian, but upon not seeing him or his camp, turned around and left? Can you imagine how that must have felt for Brian? What were you thinking at that point? Also, good examples about the things we are learning about Brian from his memories of previous experiences. Please also remember to check all grammar and conventions before you post. Thank you!

You should read this book because it is very interesting it teach you to use what you have, be intelligent, brave, hopeful etc.

I like this book because it says something very important in life that is to not give up on what you want, Brian never give up that an airplane would found him. So he keep making everything to survive even to eat fish every day to eat at least something; and since the air plane saved him, he value the things he have and learn a lesson very important in life that is to value what you have because other people can not have all the things you have.

I recommend to read this book in my own opinion it will teach more than value what you have, it will teach to survive even when you do not have any opportunity, and to be hopeful no matter the condition or the situation.

Another thing it is that in every chapter I was surprised in how Brian manage the situation what he remember about his classes in school, and how he with only 13 years old survive alone for almost three mounts alone in a forest with wild animals and do not get crazy on the journey.

So in my conclusion the author make me interest in the book even when I had read other books about the same thing that is survive no matter the situation. The authors it is so creative and he wrote many other books that I think that are interesting.

Terry is represented as one close friend of Brian,it is a kid of his age,it can be said that they were best friends,they go camping and he haves some survival skills.The day of The Secret he was with Brian when he discover it at the station.Brian flashbacks involved often Terry and the easy times he have before.Thanks to Terry basic skills Brian copy some of them and made it out to survive thanks to Terry,it can be represented as Brian savior.

Mr. Robeson is dad of Brian, and the reason of why he travel to Canada because the judge said that Brian in summer vacation will be with him and in the scholar year with his mom. Also his father appear in a dream To help him survive.

We have already finish reading and here is what I think. The book has it details info, the name of the place, how Brian is, descriptionsand all of this make a reader interested and you can imagine this quite easily and it can be something you can represent in something or someone.

It have strong arguments and it shows how Brian step by step learned to survive by himself, this is strongly supported by the literally devices it use the ones that I most like in this book was theirony, for example he spent three days in a bow and still it doesn’twork. I think Gary the author was very creative in using all hisresources to make this book.

The book has some things I would like to change would be, the flashbacks or the memories he have of the secret at one point of the history he stopped giving clues, and I am impatient when is about secrets so in my opinion I would change the memories part and at least give one clue per chapter to make it more interesting and more hard to find what is The Secret.

So in conclusion this is one of the best books in my personal library it is a 100 per cent recommendable it have a good vocabulary and new words, it is perfect for 10 in advance ages so it can understand more easily this book is a good form to expend the time so if you are looking for a book here it is.

There is also a saga next to Hatche but this ones dosnt achive any medal. The famous movies of Gary Paulson are: A cry in the wild is about a 13-year-old Brian is the sole survivor of an unreported plane crash. Alone in the Yukon wilderness, Brian must learn to survive by his wits, find food and shelter, and brave wild, hungry animals until or if he is found. Also he do the movie snow dogs from Disney when I see it for first I can't believe that it was about him is about some dogs that is gonna do a running but it has to much adventures a like such as three stars a like it Gary Paulsen a good writer for good movies and books.
