Andrea's Review.

This was an amazing journey! I think that this book can be inspirational for all of us and all the people,I think that the people need to read this book because of it is inspirational for us, why not for other people?
Chapter by chapter I read new and amazing clues and things that made me really curious to read more about it.
People wouldn't imagine how it is to survive like that, everything is comfortable and easy for all of us, but I think we should be more active and not so lazy!
Amazing final, really but really catchy!
The twist that Gary Paulsen put on it was amazing, the transaction of days from one to another was amazing! That was also really catchy in my opinion.
I will love to know more about it, I had seen that theres more books!
We I don't know if it's about the same of Brian, but definitely going to read them!

Thanks Ms. Deena for another amazing book journey and the last one of the year!

Good review, Andrea! I am glad you enjoyed the book so much and that you learned so much from it. The only problem with your review is that it is under the word count. It was supposed to be 250 words. I would like to know more about what you think others could gain from reading Hatchet, and definitely let me know what you think of Gary Paulsen's other books (and yes, they are about the same Brian)!

You should read this book because it is very interesting it teach you to use what you have, be intelligent, brave, hopeful etc.

I like this book because it says something very important in life that is to not give up on what you want, Brian never give up that an airplane would found him. So he keep making everything to survive even to eat fish every day to eat at least something; and since the air plane saved him, he value the things he have and learn a lesson very important in life that is to value what you have because other people can not have all the things you have.

I recommend to read this book in my own opinion it will teach more than value what you have, it will teach to survive even when you do not have any opportunity, and to be hopeful no matter the condition or the situation.

Another thing it is that in every chapter I was surprised in how Brian manage the situation what he remember about his classes in school, and how he with only 13 years old survive alone for almost three mounts alone in a forest with wild animals and do not get crazy on the journey.

So in my conclusion the author make me interest in the book even when I had read other books about the same thing that is survive no matter the situation. The authors it is so creative and he wrote many other books that I think that are interesting.

Terry is represented as one close friend of Brian,it is a kid of his age,it can be said that they were best friends,they go camping and he haves some survival skills.The day of The Secret he was with Brian when he discover it at the station.Brian flashbacks involved often Terry and the easy times he have before.Thanks to Terry basic skills Brian copy some of them and made it out to survive thanks to Terry,it can be represented as Brian savior.

Mr. Robeson is dad of Brian, and the reason of why he travel to Canada because the judge said that Brian in summer vacation will be with him and in the scholar year with his mom. Also his father appear in a dream To help him survive.

We have already finish reading and here is what I think. The book has it details info, the name of the place, how Brian is, descriptionsand all of this make a reader interested and you can imagine this quite easily and it can be something you can represent in something or someone.

It have strong arguments and it shows how Brian step by step learned to survive by himself, this is strongly supported by the literally devices it use the ones that I most like in this book was theirony, for example he spent three days in a bow and still it doesn’twork. I think Gary the author was very creative in using all hisresources to make this book.

The book has some things I would like to change would be, the flashbacks or the memories he have of the secret at one point of the history he stopped giving clues, and I am impatient when is about secrets so in my opinion I would change the memories part and at least give one clue per chapter to make it more interesting and more hard to find what is The Secret.

So in conclusion this is one of the best books in my personal library it is a 100 per cent recommendable it have a good vocabulary and new words, it is perfect for 10 in advance ages so it can understand more easily this book is a good form to expend the time so if you are looking for a book here it is.

Now the government wants him to do it again to go back into the wilderness so that astronauts and the military can learn the survival techniques that kept Brian alive. Awards that Gary Paulsen have receive The first was the Authors Book Award in 1985 for the CH collection,the parent Choice and Alan's award in 1991 for The boy who owned the school,Booklist editors of America for Woodsong in 1st place of the list,the Spur Award for The Haymeado in 1993,Top ten Percent Center USA and Margaret life award in 1994 and 1997 for Sister/Hermanas,he is also three times Newberry medal honors for Hatchet(the first one),Dogsong and The winter room. There is also a saga next to Hatche but this ones dosnt achive any medal. The famous movies of Gary Paulson are: A cry in the wild is about a 13-year-old Brian is the sole survivor of an unreported plane crash. Alone in the Yukon wilderness, Brian must learn to survive by his wits, find food and shelter, and brave wild, hungry animals until or if he is found. Also he do the movie snow dogs from Disney when I see it for first I can't believe that it was about him is about some dogs that is gonna do a running but it has to much adventures a like such as three stars a like it Gary Paulsen a good writer for good movies and books.
